Roger Jolma has lived in Clatskanie his entire life, with the exception of a few years for college and when he served in Vietnam. He did spend a few years traveling overseas after college, but has always returned home to Clatskanie. He is currently retired, after a career as a commercial fisherman.
Mr. Jolma was originally appointed to fill out the remaining term of a retiring board member, and decided to continue to serve. He has been on various boards throughout his career, but had never been on one for civic reasons. The Clatskanie Parks and Recreation District was an opportunity that has been both stimulating and rewarding.
When he is not working, Mr. Jolma enjoys skiing, biking, golf, fishing, and traveling.
