Clatskanie Skate Park

May contain: light, flare, sunlight, plant, grass, and tent

The Clatskanie Skate Park was envisioned and created by the dedication of the Clatskanie Skate Park Committee who raised over $109,000 to construct the park. Fundraising efforts included raffles, a carnival, skate-a-thons, t-shirt sales, water sales, spook houses, sno-cone sales, Santa pictures, bottle drives, rummage sales, music benefits, a harvest festival and pledge-a-thon. Over 75 donations and contributions were received as part of the efforts to construct the park. The park has been and remains a popular destination for both local and out-of-town skating enthusiasts.

The Clatskanie Skate Park is owned by the City of Clatskanie and maintained by the Clatskanie Parks and Recreation District. Following an assessment by the Special Districts Insurance Services of Oregon (SDIS), it was determined that the park poses unacceptable risks to the public and it was determined that the best course of action to protect users is the close the Clatskanie Skate Park.

The Clatskanie Parks and Recreation District plans to work with the City of Clatskanie as they develop plans to replace the Clatskanie Skate Park. The Parks and Recreation District will provide updates as soon as they become available.

Please pardon our dust during this upgrade to our park!
